Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of MintStart at https://mintstart.com.au. MintStart is operated by Shane Barnes, an Australian sole trader. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility and lawful use

You must use MintStart lawfully and only in connection with information you are entitled to provide. You must not submit false, misleading, or fabricated information for use in resumes, cover letters, or other generated materials.

Service description and user responsibility

MintStart provides an online AI-assisted resume optimisation service. It may help generate, refine, reformat, preview, copy, and export job-application materials based on information you provide.

You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and approving all generated output before using it. AI-assisted content can contain errors, omissions, formatting issues, or wording that is unsuitable for your circumstances.

No hiring or performance guarantees

MintStart does not guarantee employment, interviews, ATS rankings, hiring outcomes, or error-free output.

Acceptable use restrictions

You must not abuse the service or use it for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent activity. This includes scraping, reverse engineering, automated attacks, security circumvention, attempts to bypass free-use or premium-access restrictions, or submitting unlawful content.

Payments and premium access

MintStart currently offers a one-time A$9 payment. That payment unlocks the premium copy and export actions presented through the relevant MintStart access flow.

Payments are processed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. MintStart does not directly store full payment-card details. Access remains subject to the conditions shown in the app at the time of purchase.

Your content and limited processing licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By using MintStart, you grant MintStart and its service providers a limited licence to process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, maintain, and support the service.

Availability, maintenance, and changes

MintStart may update, improve, maintain, pause, or reasonably change features from time to time. We aim to keep the service available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.

Intellectual property, third-party services, liability, and suspension

The MintStart application, branding, site design, and software remain the property of MintStart or its licensors. Third-party services, links, and integrations are subject to their own terms and policies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies guarantees, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MintStart is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

MintStart may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for misuse, non-payment, abuse, security concerns, unlawful conduct, or other material breaches of these Terms.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law in force in Western Australia, Australia. If you have a complaint or question about the service, please contact MintStart through the Contact page first so we can try to resolve it promptly.

MintStart may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions apply prospectively from the published effective date.
