Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

MintStart is operated by Shane Barnes, an Australian sole trader. This Privacy Policy explains how MintStart handles personal information and related data when you use the service at https://mintstart.com.au.

Our privacy approach

MintStart aims to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy laws and recognised privacy practices. The service is designed to collect and use information reasonably needed to operate the product, process payments, provide support, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

Information we may collect

Information handled by MintStart may include resume and employment content you choose to upload or paste into the service. This can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, qualifications, licences, employment history, work examples, and other information voluntarily supplied in resumes or related documents.

We may also collect job descriptions, target-role inputs, generation instructions, checkout email details, transaction and session identifiers, support enquiries, waitlist or support contact details, and technical, usage, analytics, abuse-prevention, and security information associated with use of the site.

Why we collect and use information

MintStart uses information to generate, refine, format, preview, and export resume materials; process payments and confirm premium access; provide customer support; prevent abuse and secure the service; monitor performance; improve product quality and reliability; and comply with legal, accounting, tax, fraud, or regulatory obligations.

You should review and edit all generated output before use. Please avoid entering unnecessary sensitive personal information into resume content or support requests.

Payments and operational data

Payments are processed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. MintStart does not directly collect or store full payment-card details. Stripe may provide MintStart with checkout email details, payment status information, customer or session identifiers, and related transaction records needed to confirm premium access, support customers, prevent abuse, and keep accounting records.

The service also uses cookies, browser storage, and session identifiers to support product features such as usage controls, premium access state, service security, and continuity between page loads.

Third-party services

MintStart relies on third-party providers to operate the service, including OpenAI for AI-assisted processing, Stripe for payment processing, Render for hosting, and configured Redis or similar storage providers for operational data such as entitlements, usage limits, analytics, and abuse-prevention records.

These providers may process or store information on MintStart's behalf in Australia and overseas, including in the United States where reasonably relevant to the provider's infrastructure, as well as in other countries used by those providers or their subprocessors.

Retention and security

MintStart keeps information only for as long as reasonably required for service delivery, support, security, accounting, abuse prevention, operational continuity, or legal compliance.

We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards, but no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Access, correction, deletion, complaints, and updates

If you want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by MintStart, or if you have a privacy complaint, please contact MintStart through the support email shown on the Contact page.

MintStart may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will apply prospectively from the published effective date.
